We have some pilot territories doing incredibly well and we are excited to expand further!
But why buy into a franchise instead of going it alone? What are the benefits of becoming a franchisee? Starting a business can be daunting, heck it can be terrifying! Even if you have significant business experience which not everyone has, you could still be starting out in a brand new field or industry and you might not have the skills and knowledge required. Being in business can also be extremely lonely. Even if you have a team around you, if you are the owner/boss/main decision maker then sometimes having nobody to bounce ideas off can be really isolating. You might second guess your judgement and question choices you are making. Having someone with experience in the same business to discuss new ideas with and help deal with problems along the way can be priceless! Mistakes are also bound to be made along the way, most mistakes are time consuming at best, probably financially costly and worse case could ruin your reputation and your business! If you are part of a franchise you should get help and guidance from people that have already trodden that same path as you so fewer mistakes are likely to be made, especially serious ones. Buying into a franchise means you are still the business owner but you have the umbrella over you of an established brand/business that will help support and guide you along the way. Some franchises are a literal turn key business with strict blue prints to follow such as high street shops and chain restaurants and some are a little more flexible in structure and less micro managed but you still use their business name and have their support systems.
We at Pocket Rockets are a service based business. When you become a franchisee you purchase a geographically territory rather than a branch/store. We are able to pass on certain clients and enquiries that come in for your area but you are also responsible for sourcing your own work. We will give you all the tools, training and support and guidance but we don’t actually run the business for you. It is very similar to the role of a sat nav in a vehicle. The driver is in control of the vehicle, they have to put into the sat nav the required destination. The sat nav will give instructions, directions and even alert them of obstructions they may face along the way such as traffic or diversions but the person is responsible for driving/controlling the direction in which they go. If they take a wrong turn they won’t end up at the correct destination or it will at least take longer once back on track. Being a franchisee isn’t for everyone, some people want to go it alone, some people prefer the idea of having some additional support.
